As we dive into 2026, the Downtown Tulsa Partnership team wanted to reflect on the past year and create goals, desires, and dreams for the upcoming calendar year. Read below to review the list of goals set by the team and Downtown Tulsa Partnership.

This year, 17 downtown businesses transformed their storefronts into festive works of art, helping make Downtown Tulsa merry and bright all season long. With QR codes on each window, the community cast 493 votes between Nov. 28–Jan. 10!

Blue Dome Bottle Shop is now open in Downtown Tulsa! The new shop is located in the heart of the Blue Dome District at 210 S Elgin Ave. The shop is a modern twist on a traditional liquor store, and has everything from wine, beer, seltzers, liquors, and more, many of which are from local breweries and brands.

You can now CLIMB in Downtown Tulsa! Gravity Bear Bouldering Gym is the newest addition to Downtown, located in the East Village District (618 E 3rd St). Gravity Bear is designed as a place to hang, connect, and feel at home. From locally roasted coffee to fast WIFI and cozy lounge spaces, it’s where Tulsa’s climbing community will meet, move, and grow— together.

Ragtime: The Musical is making its way to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center this August! Ragtime is set in the volatile melting pot of turn-of-the-century New York featuring three distinctly American tales that are intertwined. Ragtime is filled with pageantry, emotion, and hope, and features a Tony-winning score and iconic musical theatre songs.

National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 20, and Downtown Tulsa is bringing the heat (and the chill). Whether you're going classic, creative, or cookie-stuffed, there's a frozen treat with your name on it.🍦 Happy scooping, Tulsa.

Maestro is the newest addition to Downtown Tulsa! Located in the Blue Dome District at the brand-new Santa Fe Square, Maestro is the newest concept from Aaron Post’s Relentless Hospitality Group, the creative force behind Downtown Tulsa staples Valkyrie and St Vitus.

New Podcast Alert! Downtown Tulsa: A Place for Everyone is a new podcast hosted by long-time Downtown resident and entrepreneur Timothy Moser. This podcast guides you through weekly events and features guests from your favorite Downtown locations.

The Mayo Hotel welcomes 1925, the hotel dining concept, to Downtown Tulsa! This new restaurant honors the hotel’s historic roots while offering a fresh, elevated gathering place in the heart of Downtown Tulsa.

Updating Downtown Stakeholders about recent safety events and efforts

The meeting was composed of 20 residents who participated in a Q+A with District 4 City Councilor Laura Bellis and was held at the Pocahontas Center at Central Library.

This spring, Downtown Tulsa Partnership is spearheading this temporary public art initiative where poetry on designed art boards is accessible in the public right-of-way.

Magic City Cafe, a new cafe concept, is now open in Downtown Tulsa! Located on the ground floor of the Kennedy Building, (321 S Boston Ave), this cafe is a new dining destination aimed for Downtown’s working professionals and residents.

Downtown Tulsa celebrated a major milestone with the ribbon-cutting and grand opening of Santa Fe Square Apartments! Hosted in partnership with Downtown Tulsa Partnership and Urban Land Development, the event brought together city leaders, community members, and project partners to commemorate this transformative mixed-use development.

The Downtown Resident Group continues! On Tuesday, February 25, nearly 40 residents came together for the Downtown Resident Group's second ever meeting. Residents from various Downtown districts and neighborhoods gathered at the Downtown YMCA to share ideas and discuss insights about living in Downtown Tulsa.

Downtown Ambassadors have been hard at work during the severe winter weather! While
limiting field work due to exposure to extreme temperatures, the Ambassador team has
made Downtown as safe and accessible as possible.

From great food and drinks to exciting entertainment, Downtown Tulsa is ready to welcome Big 12 Wrestling fans. Take advantage of session breaks to explore, support local businesses, and experience everything our city has to offer.

Extreme winter conditions are expected in Tulsa starting early Tuesday (2.17.25) and continuing through the weekend. The City of Tulsa and Downtown Tulsa Partnership (DTP) are actively preparing, including pre-treating sidewalks and bridges and coordinating snow and ice removal efforts.

The dining options in Downtown Tulsa are endless

The Downtown Ambassador Team will operate under abbreviated hours through Sunday 1/16. Temporary hours of operation on Thursday 1/13 through Saturday 1/15 are 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The program will be shut down on Sunday 1/16 and will restart 7:00 a.m. on Monday 1/17 at which point we will reevaluate the need to continue with amended operations.

A number of Downtown destinations have been featured in the news and we wanted to provide this roundup to make sure you see each of them.

While 2021 didn’t go entirely the way we planned, we’re looking to continuing our work of advancing Downtown Tulsa in 2022. Until then you can find numerous ways to ring in the new year in Downtown. Please remember to celebrate safely!

IDA Presents Downtown Achievement Awards Recognizing Excellence in Urban Place Management
