July 11 Concert Series: Recap
Last Thursday, July 11, the 100 West Garage in the first floor of a Downtown Tulsa parking garage was transformed into a vibrant hub of music, fashion, and art. As the sun began to set, excitement filled the air, and people started to gather. At 5:30 PM, the evening kicked off with local musician Peter Tomshany taking the stage. His soulful guitar melodies and innovative electronic drum beats created an inviting atmosphere, drawing more and more attendees into the heart of the event.
The scene was lively with the aroma of street tacos and the sweet allure of popsicles from our amazing food trucks. Adding to the artistic ambiance, an airbrush artist was busy crafting unique designs on clothing, making each piece a personal work of art. The energy in the open garage was palpable, reminiscent of an underground rave, yet accessible to everyone.
As the evening progressed, local DJ Kidnaps took the energy to the next level. The beats were infectious, and soon the dance floor was packed with people moving to the rhythm. At 7:30 PM, the highlight of the night began: OFA FREQUENCY’s “Superimposed” fashion show. The runway came alive with creations from Tulsa designers, each piece telling its own story. CAP, Kieran Crutison, wowed the crowd with his innovative use of plastic, showcasing sustainable fashion at its finest. Boonies, another standout designer, captivated everyone with their unique blend of grimy, cute, and southern-inspired clothing.
The audience was spellbound, and the models brought the designs to life with grace and flair. The fashion show seamlessly transitioned into a performance by HiddenxDisplay, and the parking garage turned into a dynamic space of collaboration and creativity. Models, artists, and audience members mingled, danced, and snapped photos, capturing the vibrant spirit of the night. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the event drew to close, leaving everyone with memories of an unforgettable night.
