Downtown is your neighborhood. At the Downtown Tulsa Partnership, we want to make downtown a place where everyone feels at home. It should be a welcoming, active, beautiful, and resilient place to be.
Our three pillars guide us in our work each and every day:
Place management
We want every last visitor and resident to feel safe and see beautiful, clean streets.
Urban Development
Supporting downtown businesses means that we can help to grow and strengthen the community and create new spaces for everyone to enjoy.
Community Engagement
We will keep you in the know so that every event, pop-up, and new business can be a success.

To meet our goals, we have a variety of initiatives. Ever seen a friendly employee wearing a bright shirt offering help or doing some cleanup? That’s our Ambassador team, who hit the streets seven days a week to serve our downtown community.
Ever seen a fun pop-up shop in a previously empty storefront? Our Pop Up Downtown program made that happen!
Notice festive storefronts with vivid winter scenes? Our public art initiatives helped foster the holiday atmosphere.

Over the course of the last 4 years, we have worked to improve downtown through hard work and commitment. Last fiscal year alone, our operations team did some incredible things:
- Removed over 400,000 pounds of trash
- Helped people more than 25,000 times as they navigated the neighborhood
- Talked with businesses more than 15,000 times
- Helped unsheltered individuals 1,693 times and got 78 of them to get off the street and into safe shelter
- Beautified by planting 1000+ flowers and plants, 96 trees, and removing nearly 3,000 graffiti tags on public spaces
- Installed 20 enclosed trash cans decorated with public art
- Hosted ribbon cuttings, the Midweek Market, and fantastic events like Namastreet Yoga
As we begin 2026, we are committed to continuing all the work we’ve been doing and building upon our past success to make downtown the best place to be in Tulsa.
That’s why this year we are introducing Safer Together.
Downtown thrives when we look out for one another. Safer Together is our commitment to a welcoming, connected, and secure community or everyone who lives, visits, and does business here. Police and security are critical, but it’s more than that. This year, we will be working on a few important things to make downtown the safest it's ever been:
- Adding more staff whose sole focus is to be available, responsive, and solely focused on the safety of everyone.
- Work collaboratively with other safety groups, both public and private.
- Keep you informed about how safety is changing and arm you with resources to help you learn more about safety.
- Advocate for the funding needed to help those who need housing and mental health resources.
- Make sure downtown is clean and stays an active, vibrant place to be.
We know that safety is a top priority when people visit downtown, and we want to lead the charge in the effort to make downtown as safe as it can be. New energy and increased activity downtown has led to public safety challenges, and we are ready to address those challenges head-on. But we can only do it one way – TOGETHER.
We can’t wait to see how our collaboration with others will revolutionize the way we all approach safety in our neighborhood.
