Organizations Collaborate to Celebrate Tulsa Interns at Downtown Event

July 22, 2024 — Downtown Tulsa Partnership (DTP) and Campus Tulsa are collaborating to host Intern Appreciation Day on Tuesday, July 23, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Welltown Brewing, 114 W. Archer St. Now in its second year, this event celebrates Tulsa’s hard-working interns while providing the opportunity to network among their peers and some of Downtown Tulsa’s largest employers.

In true end-of-summer style, Intern Appreciation Day will be held at Trailer Camp, a unique 1960s campout-themed experience on Welltown’s rooftop. Participants will enjoy food and drinks, as well as music and games, and are eligible to win door prizes from Downtown businesses. Under 21 interns are welcome; IDs will be checked, and plenty of non-alcoholic options will be available.

“Intern Appreciation Day is our way of showing gratitude for the young professionals who contribute to our vibrant city,” said Morgan Phillips, DTP’s Director of Marketing & Events. “This year’s event promises to be one to end interns’ summer in style.”

“We are elated to participate in Internship Appreciation Day in partnership with Downtown Tulsa Partnership as a celebration of their summer-long experience,” added Evan Barton, Campus Tulsa’s Intern Engagement Coordinator. “Our organization seeks to connect interns to all that Tulsa has to offer as a city, and one of our best assets as a city is our strong professional network that will be present at this event.”

Interns and their supervisors are welcome to attend Intern Appreciation Day. The event is free, but advance registration is required at DowntownTulsa.com/InternDay. Parking is available on the street (free after 5 p.m.) or at a nearby private lot.
