Live Music, Runway Events Come to Downtown Tulsa Parking Garage

July 10, 2024 — The Downtown Tulsa Partnership (DTP) and Tulsa Creative Engine(TCE) have partnered to cohost the Downtown Tulsa Parking Garage Concert Series, two innovative events that will transform an ordinary parking garage into a dynamic music venue on July 11 and July 25 during Tulsa Music Month.

The new series, which offers free admission and free parking, blends the raw energy of Tulsa's musicians and performers with the gritty charm of one of Downtown’s multi-story parking garages, the 100 West Garage, 100 W. First St. Programming is as follows:

  • 5:30-9 p.m. on Thursday, July 11: OFA FREQUENCY’s “Superimposed” is an underground runway event featuring local designers from the Oklahoma Fashion Alliance. Live music will be provided by HiddenXDisplay, Peter Tomshany and Kid Naps. Airbrush artist Drip Down will customize eventgoers’ clothing and accessories that they bring, and food trucks Frios Tulsa and V'FRESCO will be on hand.
  • 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 25: This music-centric event will feature local musicians KYD, Tizzi and Tea Rush with DJ bendigo, as well as beverages and treats from local restaurants, including Mi Tea Lounge and Cherry and Bark.

Advanced registration for each event is encouraged at DowntownTulsa.com/ConcertSeries.

“It has been a dream to work with Tulsa Creative Engine and their collaborators to build a new Downtown program highlighting local artists,” said Morgan Phillips, DTP’s Director of Marketing & Events. “We can’t wait to celebrate the eclectic sounds of Tulsa's vibrant music scene through activation of this unique venue.”

“We are thrilled to create an opportunity for artists to showcase their talents in nontraditional venues and support the activities of Downtown Tulsa Partnership,” added Bianca Caampued, Executive Director of Tulsa Creative Engine. “This series not only provides a platform for the community to discover local artists, but also encourages a fresh perspective on the everyday spaces we frequent.”

The series is supported by sponsors PartnerTulsa; the Tulsa Office of Film, Music, Arts and Culture; 413 Signs & Graphics; Brut Hotel; Rosa Restaurant; and Tulsa Remote. For more information, visit DowntownTulsa.com/ConcertSeries.
