Natuskashii is now open in Downtown Tulsa! Located in the Tulsa Arts District at 14 N Cheyenne, this new brick-and-mortar is from the chefs of et al., a James Beard-nominated chef collective.
Natsukashii is a Japanese word/interjection to describe a sudden feeling of gratitude and connection to a fond memory from your past, sparked by a sensory experience. The collective behind Natsukashii focuses on this nostalgic sprit, integrating a Japanese inspired cuisine and craftmanship.
Natsukashii will be open Monday-Saturday, from 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM, and offers the following courses throughout the day:
Breakfast (8 - 11 AM) will consist of three basic types of offerings:
- Japanese style rice balls (onigiri) with a variety of fillings
- House-made pastries and donuts
- Traditional Japanese style breakfasts consisting of rice, miso soup, pickles, broiled fish, and assorted vegetable and tofu dishes.
Lunch (11 AM - 2 PM) will consist of four basic types of offerings:
- Rice bowls
- Noodles
- Japanese style sandwiches
- Dumplings
Rascal Hour (Happy Hour, 3 - 5 PM) will consist of Japanese style bar food:
- Fried foods such as Japanese fried chicken and croquettes
- Foods off the stove like dumplings and okonomiyaki
- Raw foods such as salads, pickles, or sashimi
Dinner (5 - 10 PM) will consist of some lunch items, all Rascal Hour items and dinner-specificdishes that will also include items off the grill, simmered dishes, and veggie dishes.
Natsukashii’s coffee program will consist of espresso-forward classics, matcha and tea in collaboration with HQ Coffee+Matcha based in Oklahoma City and Topeca Coffee Roasters based in Tulsa.
Natsukashii’s bar program will offer thoughtful cocktails and zero-proof beverages, a carefully curated selection of wine and sake, and “Yanchan” (meaning rascal)– an exclusive beer in partnership with Heirloom Rustic Ales based in Tulsa, OK.
There are plenty of gluten-free options throughout each of these menus. Natsukashii is currently a dine-in, walk-in only destination.
