We want to share an important update with our Downtown Tulsa community. At the end of December 2025, President & CEO Brian Kurtz will transition from his role to pursue a new professional opportunity. After seven and a half years serving Tulsa, including the last four and a half leading Downtown Tulsa Partnership, Brian moves on with deep gratitude for this community and pride in what has been accomplished together.
Brian has been a key part of Downtown’s evolution since 2018, beginning with his work in the Mayor’s Office and the City’s Downtown Coordinating Council, and now as the founding chief executive of Downtown Tulsa Partnership when it launched in 2021.
Since incorporating DTP and launching its Clean & Safe services on July 1, 2021, Brian has led the organization through startup operations, program expansion, and a growing portfolio of public-private partnerships reinvesting in Downtown Tulsa.
As we prepare for this leadership transition, DTP’s Board of Directors and staff remain focused on continuity. All programs, projects, and services will move forward as planned. The board will soon begin an executive transition process, including a local and national search for the next President & CEO. Additional updates about interim leadership and this search will be shared once available.
We are grateful to Brian for his dedication to strengthening Downtown Tulsa and building the foundation for this work to continue. We also recognize the many partners who help strengthen Downtown each and every day. As we move into this transition period, we’re optimistic about the opportunities ahead for our team and our community.
