Join us for Record Club: The Sound of Film, a night devoted to the soundtracks that have left a permanent mark on film and culture, on Saturday, May 23 at Guthrie Green.
From Shaft and Easy Rider to Romeo + Juliet, Fight Club, and the enduring power of Purple Rain, DJ Doc Free leads a guided trip through the records, scenes, and sonic identities that make these films unforgettable. With VHS-style visuals, extended film clips, and deep-cut commentary throughout, explores how great soundtracks don’t just accompany a movie; they shape its identity and help it live on long after the credits roll.
The evening will conclude with a sing-along and screening of Purple Rain.
