With Teaching Artist Katrinka Booth. For ages 10-15. This class does not require sewing skills. The students will be learning how to create shadow and light using fabrics and fusible interfacing. This beginner-friendly class is designed for individuals with absolutely no prior sewing experience. Participants will be guided through a series of engaging and accessible techniques focused on textile art without the need for a sewing machine or hand-stitching skills. The core curriculum centers on teaching students how to manipulate and layer different fabrics, along with fusible interfacing, to dynamically create effects of shadow and light in their artwork. Students will master the use of color, texture, and layering to build depth, dimension, and visual interest, resulting in stunning, complex textile compositions that truly come alive. All necessary materials and specialized tools will be provided.
