Find strength and connection at AFFIRMING, a youth-focused support group meeting on Friday, April 17, at the Dennis R. Neill Equality Center. Held from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM, this program is designed to provide a brave and inclusive space for 2SLGBTQIA+ youth to explore their identities and build community. The AFFIRMING program often focuses on evidence-based practices to help young people develop coping skills, improve self-esteem, and navigate the unique challenges of growing up queer or transgender. Guided by supportive facilitators, participants can share their stories, receive validation, and foster resilience in an environment that celebrates exactly who they are. It is a vital resource for empowering the next generation of the Tulsa community.
