Back to school sounds like new sneakers and skateboards! Nine One Skate, a nod to our beloved 918 area code, is Downtown Tulsa's very own skate shop. Their mission is to support and be a positive influence in our local skate scene.
Established in 2019, Silhouette Sneakers & Art is a highly curated retail experience that brings limited and authentic sneakers and streetwear to Tulsa. If that doesn't say "back to school" for sneakerheads all over Tulsa, then we don't know what does. The boutique on Greenwood Avenue also features a street-inspired art gallery.

Magic City Books is an independent bookstore owned by the Tulsa Literary Coalition, located in the Tulsa Arts District. They specialize in adults' literary and popular fiction and narrative nonfiction and offer a carefully curated section for children and teens. You can expect to receive personalized service from their knowledgeable staff who love to read.
On the topic of books, get prepared for the school year at Tulsa's Central Library by requesting or placing holds on books for your required reading as soon as you receive your syllabus. The branch also has indoor and outdoor study areas where you can get all your work done. Reserve a private room for group projects or study parties.
